| I have my first rig set up, a Maxcom Apollo 16E. I am planning on using it in my car but in the meantime it will be in the house. Unfortunately where I am, Near Skipton, there isn't really anyone on the straight 40 FM channels, but if anyone is near at anytime please try and get in touch. FF1982

73s Hi Alex, I made a contact with DR02 (Mick) in Skipton on the Sunday Freeband Net today, if I can get him on 10w from 128 miles away you should hear him, give him a shout out and give him my regards. 73's Mick | |

| Hi..and welcome. If you're looking for a handheld cb radio for use in the uk then may I suggest that you look at the 'K-PO PANTHER ..my mate has one and has given me good reports about them..they sell around £110 but are AM and FM 40 channels..believe they are on Amazon but if the price is too high try Ebay

| Moonraker are also a good company aswell as Midland...not dealt with either of there handheld radios. Looking at the Major 42 however it does look good however obviously cant comment on performance.. the Major Carrie's no AM but has 40uk and 40 EU GM bands . Best putting the model numbers in YouTube and watch some videos to help you pick. ..if the handheld has a telescopic whip antenna then that's better than the rubber duck type. Good luck.

| Hello Ryan, That's what we call the 'mid block' it is legal in the U.K. The original C.B. allocation from the 1980's would be 27.991.25
