Hi, I'd appreciate peoples thoughts/experiences on which is the better option - an Alinco DX135 or Superstar 6900N. Also, what should I be looking for in channel programming? I'd be using a set up as a home base (I've got good elevation where I live).

From a sensitivity point of view it doesn't matter, every CB made in the history of CB can hear well below the noise floor on the quietest place on planet earth. I would imagine there's little to no difference you'd notice for everything else. Put in UK40 and CEPT channels as a minimum.
