Hi all and welcome to my report for the Eastbourne area net held on the 19/12/19.
I had my fingers crossed it wasn't going to be a quiet net like the previous week.
I put a call out to kick things off and that's when things went wrong!
John (CT11111) in Tunbridge Wells, Kent answered and reported both audio and power problems. After a process of elimination it seems my old Bremi BRG-201 SWR/Power meter was to blame and removing it put things right We where then joined by Michael (TM3006) in Crawley, West Sussex and carried on with the chat.
At about 9ish we said our goodbyes and closed the net down. I moved over to the SSB net on channel 39 (27.395).

Cheers John
I've got an urge to watch it. I wonder if it's avalible on Netfix or the like?
Maybe you should move this to the "general chat" part of the forum so others can can add CB/HAM films and there trailers to the list.

Hi spurs dazza47.
This is not a new net, the Eastbourne FM net and Southern FM net are one and the same. The Eastbourne part got dropped when the net grew and it had stations join from Hampshire, Berkshire, Kent, West Sussex, London, Surrey, Essex and Cambridgeshire. With the decline of the use of FM and that most of the stations that call in now are local to the Eastbourne area I decide to go back to the original name.

Hello all
Welcome to my report for the Eastbourne Weekly FM net, held on the 30/01/2020. The set up was a CRE 8900, K-PO NM-532 power mic (which failed) so the Turner mic replaced it, a KL203P and a Moonraker 1/2 wave GPA antenna. The weather on Ashdown Forest was foggy, rainy, windy and cold.

Happy Birthday to the Eastbourne weekly FM net
Yes it's true, the net is 5 years old!
Hello and welcome.
Here is my report of the birthday net, held on the evening of the 06/02/2020.
My set was a CRE 8900, a Turner JM+2/U mic, a KL203P amp all transmitting through a Moonraker 1/2 wave GPA antenna. My location was Ashdown Forest (JO-01-bb), the backyard of Winne the Pooh and friends. The weather was cold with clear skies and a temperature at the beginning of the net of about 4 degrees C, which dropped down to 2 degrees or less by the end of the night
Here is the list of stations heard and or worked by the net.
That concludes the list of birthday stations who called in.
At the end of the FM net, I flicked on to the USB net on channel 39 mid-block or 27.395.
Sorry to those who we didn't hear or missed off the list. The net is open to all, so why not join in or leave a report here.

Fantastic radios. Especially when used with a teardrop. I have a mk 1. I'd never part with her. I think this went to the wrong place. Was meant for the cobra 148 GTL DX page
