Hi everyone I've got a ss6900 but the Mic is terrible so I'm looking to upgrade. If I change it to what we use to call a power mic, would I need to back the rig down or can I plug and play? 73's Gary

I agree, I use the K-PO NM532 power mike on my SS 6900n and its great. Always get positive feedback on a 5 audio.
Never ever used the supplied standard mike, went straight for the K-PO which I ordered at the same time as the SS 6900n. Bought a Cobra M75 power mike a couple of months ago, but been told on a AB comparison that the K-PO has the better audio.
Don't forget to adjust the Mic Gain setting on the 6900's menu to suit the K-PO.

Hi Ian. If the rig works fine with the stock mic plugged in then as you haven't had it long I'd contact Knights and ask them exchange it for you.
