Hello every one , My name is Dave call sign 26ct2609 this is my first time on the new site (Many thanks to Gary Wilson for your help little prob with details, cheers my friend) was on the old ct site but not very often, first encountered CB radio 40 years ago at the age of 13, with a little old am rig and dv27 on a biscuit tin in the shed i guess at that time most people had similar set ups to start with , then lost interest as in your teens girls and beer was more desirable. anyway not to make this to long and boring i became a hgv driver and still am, had radios in the trucks in the past just the standard 40 FM up until a couple of years ago hearing all the bleep over from ssb decided to upgrade and bought a president grant 11 premium, having had lots of dx ing from the truck at break times or when held up in a queue , as i dont travel very far now just back and fourth from the port of Immingham to Scunthorpe steel works all day six days a week so its a little mind numbing so the radio takes the edge of that there is a small group of us around 8/10 drivers with radios and we chat all day long on channel 14 UK FM and a hand full that go on T5. So you never know if the propagation is good give us a shout , its not being so good the last couple of days but yesterday teatime did get a short dx to south France with radio 4 signal 6/7 any way cheers and beers 73s for now and keep safe
