new member - request call sign (Issued)

i became interested in radio back in 1968,at the time i was bringing cbs back from italy for a few friends,at the time i was driving international in a mighty 142 scania and travelled all over the middle east /north africa and all of the european countries.the radio in the truck was a pace,i then had various cbs cobra high gain midland and various others,i finished up with a multimode 2 which i kept till fm was made legal,my call sign was in those days 70 whiskey 692 and was dxing all around the world.i have had a break from radio for 40 years but alway had an interest in radio, im  retired and now 74 yrs old and decided to take up the hobby again,i now run a ham international jumbo super delux and the latest president jackson classic of a sirio 5/8 antenna and have contacted a few of the charlie tango group in ireland and on main land uk, my recent call sign is 26 ww 692.
i would like to request a charlie tango call sign. good dxing everybody,Bev.

Many thanks for the welcome you have given to me, I look forward to contacting a few of you when conditions are good, last week I made contact with quite a few of you using the call sign WW692 I'm sorry I couldnt hold with you all because there were so many stations calling, but I did manage some of you is::Lancashire northumberland, Manchester, Northern Ireland north and the west coast of Southern Ireland, then,the Netherlands, Germany italia, ok I have my call sign which is 26CT3574 and will use it with pride, many thanks Gary, ps:could someone tell me how much the club QSL cards are per hundred, good Dxing to all members,

Not to good at this computer stuff yet but here is a photo of my old QSL card which I used back in the 60/70s be interested if any of the members have one in their collection.

Hi stevie G!at the time I was living in Salisbury Wiltshire and there was a DX club attached to the light house breakers club there and we all were in the Wisky Club of a Great Britain and it was run from New Malden and that's why we all had the Malden po box, then the cards were posted to us from there, but whilst driving had had been to Malden many times,OK Stevie many thanks for reverting back to me, good DX in my friend.

Hi Bev,

If you ask this question in a new post you're bound to get more responses. At the moment it just shows under your "new member" request titling so will probably missed by many.

Just pop it in the 'general' or even the 'help' sections with an appropriate title and you'll stand out better.

I and many others here have had similar problems with RF interference and have come up with different solutions to solve or reduce it. You'll get plenty of help and can choose the solution that best suits you.
