| Hi peeps I'm Shaun 38 from Nuneaton in Warwickshire and I'm looking to get a CT callsign. I was big into the CB radio in the early 90s along with all my school friends. My Handle was shaun Pioneer. Once pagers then mobile phones were popular we all turned to texting so CB radio in my area died down pretty quick just before 2000. I stayed with radio and enjoyed scanning about and a few years back bought my first sdr dongle which I use from time to time. I also run a Facebook group called bring back CB radio that has been going for a few years now but only recently started to re visit it. I have a Harvard 420m CB rig and a small midland portable CB with battery pack and telescopic antenna attached. I also own a uv5r so chat on the local pmr channels. We are currently doing a major project extending our house but once it's complete I'm looking at setting up a shack in the new garage and rigging up all my radios and scanners. Hopefully I can kick start the CB in my area and get my friends to dig out their old kit too. Cheers Shaun | |
