Over lock down been getting sporadic contacts mainly kids playing hide and seek but nothing proper from fellow radio users, till I tried the Sunday 8.00 net here in South Manchester. I was thrilled to get about five contacts Lewis, Chris and Simon the ones I can remember. And Lewis features it in a YouTube video trying out a small radio (Ringway Manchester). I know it's only a small thing but it made my day

Yeh the past 2weeks it's gone crazy. All good for the channel, shows it's Popular, just needed a catalyst like Ringway to get people round here to PTT. Hopefully it continues. And there's even a Facebook page been setup only a couple of days ago and already 200 following/ subbed

Was delivering at one of our stores a couple of weeks ago and the manager had bought a few PMR446 handhelds for the warehouse staff. They were talking about them and how they'd heard loads of stuff and it so happened that they'd just started using them when there was a big lift on a few weeks ago so were getting stuff from all over.
If you keep an eye on the weather forecast when there's a big high pressure area over the UK and Europe you can find you'll get some mad distances out of it.

Pmr is starting to get very popular and there is some great nets, and some great contacts if you live in a town or village, try a get a base antenna up on the house there not big but up a height or on the mobile in the hills and depends were you are, you will hear lots trying to get the wife to let me put a antenna up , but its hard going, have fun, as that's what radio is all about
