Hi, I'm Garry, (or "Garry BigMac" as there were so many of us called Garry on the rigs back in the 80's/90's that our handles ended up as a kind of surname).
In the past I've mainly used CB for local com's, going mobile, camping trips, etc. but since lockdown I've dragged all the old gear out & been chatting locally with a couple of the old crowd & increasingly getting into DX so decided I'd best request a callsign as my old local "Victory Breakers" club is long gone :-(
Thanks for the welcome & Call Sign guys, the way the Sporadic E is at the moment I'm sure it's going to see some pretty heavy use :-) Was chatting with a local station earlier 6 miles through the city @ S5, then suddenly totally over-run with German & Italian stations @ S9 ++ & us the same back into them. Not bad for 4W FM. Like being back in the 80's :-)
