Hi there.
My name is Danny and I am a licensed amateur with callsign "2M0XDE" but I though I might have at go at some other comms as well. Would like a CT call if that is allowed and possible as I do not think I am allowed to use my ham call on CB or other bands.

Hello Danny, welcome to the forum,
You are correct you can't use your ham call outside of the allotted amateur bands. We are a forum for radio of all kinds and you'll find discussion about 11 meters and the amateur bands as well as P.M.R and S.W.L.
Our call signs are issued for use on the C.B. band, the 11 meter free band and P.M.R. We do however politely ask members not to use our call signs on the Echo Charlie bands.
I am delighted to allocate you 108-CT-275 may you have good luck with it.
73's Gary.

Thank you very much folks. I hope once things calm down I will be able to be out and about operating stationary mobile and hope to hear from you on the airwaves, whichever band I'm on.
Can I confirm if using my CT call is allowed on PMR446 or does it not matter? I know I could use anything I want on there but old habits die hard as they say

Yes, you can use a CB / Freeband or any other "non-ham" callsign on PMR as there are no rules regarding voice procedure. Many people don't use any callsigns at all so its completely up to you. I think "hams" are not supposed to use their official callsign outside of the official "ham" bands but apart from that anything goes on PMR.
