Is there any way of boosting power of this radio without an amp?

Thanks a lot

Short reply , no

Might get 4 to 6 watts if you turn up the power.

As already stated the rotel is not very adaptable. It can be turned up to about 7 or 8w but that's hardly gonna make any difference on UK40. It can have the EU band added but the cost of work is t worth the hassle as you can get a 80 ch radio new for £40

You'll get 6-8W out of it which will give you at best another S point to other stations but you'll be wringing the neck out of the finals and they're likely to give up. Depending on what the output transistors are they may no longer be available so it's a scrap rig or you're spending money converting it to run on something else.
