Hi all, hope you're all doing O. K. I've noticed a lot of activity recently, so I've just programmed all the 16 analogue PMR channels into my CRT MICRON, so I can use the scan function. I'm wanting to know which Bandwidth setting to use? Choices are:- Wide = 25K Mid = 20K Narrow = 12.5K
Cheers and thanks in advance. Stay safe Dale CT3550

Hi Dale,
The channels are spaced 12.5khz apart on the analogue 16 channels and the modulation mode is NBFM, (Narrow Band Frequency Modulation - 2.5khz deviation)
I think that's what you're after?
All the best, Victor

Hi Victor, thanks for the reply. Yes, it seems logical that with 12.5khz spacing that the bandwidth is the same, but you never know. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a confirmation or the right information. I'm new to this pmr stuff but quite frankly I'm having a lot of fun listening so I thought I'd put together a more permanent setup, together with a better antenna. It's really very active around here and the additional channels that Ofcom gave us are lively without the usual kids playing about. I guess they only have the 8 channel models. I'm surprised at how clear and clean the received modulation is too, much less interference than on the 27Mhz. I don't know why I didn't have a go with this sooner. Anyway stay well mate. 73's Dale P. S. Can anyone confirm Narrow setting - 12.5k.? Cheers

Cheers for that Graeme. Interesting website. Going to program all the channels with the narrow band setting.
