Jul 29, 2018[ltr]#460[/ltr] all Welcome to my report of the Southern Area SSB Net (sometimes called The Original Thursday Night Net, the Southern Net or the South Coast Net) held on the 26/07/2018. My set up for the night was a CRE 8900, a standard CRE coffin mic and a Moonraker GAP half wave on a 2.5 meter pole.
WX report for the forest, cloudy with a light breeze, a hazy sun and static crashes could be heard. The temperature at the beginning of the net was 23 degrees C and by the end it had dropped to 21 degrees C. The band conditions seemed flat with some stations saying signal/radio reports were lower than normal.
With the band conditions being flat, i would like to say thank you to all the stations that helped out with the net. Whether it was acknowledging people calling in & asking them to standby, working stations on the far side of the net and trying to pass them round, 10-5ing infomation to the chair and taking the time to travel away from there home QTH's to be apart of the net, thank you guys & girls
Here is the of list stations heard and or worked by the net. All stations are 26 division unless stated.

Sep 14, 2018[ltr]#469[/ltr] Net log for Thursday September 13th. Time 19.30-23.00. Frequency 27.395USB. Once again a very nice net with some good distances. Helpful hints. 1. When calling into a net, it will help the net Chair/Controller to identify you above other QSK's if you use a handle, name or callsign with you QSK. 2. If your asked to standby, it is because there is another QSO in progress that you may not be able to hear. 3. If you call into a net & don't get acknowledged straight away, it doesn't always mean you haven't been heard, wait & try again.

Oct 12, 2018[ltr]#491[/ltr] Southern Net Log - 11/10/18: Enjoyable night once again. A mild and clear evening with some winds later on - at least it stopped raining about 19.00. A HUGE THANKS TO NEIL CT388 without whom we would not have been able to pull in as many stations. Nov 16, 2018[ltr]#520[/ltr] Southern SSB Net. 27.395MHz. 15/11/2018. A foggy and very mild evening at Kithurst, with the temperature at 13 degrees when I packed down at 22.40. Nov 26, 2018[ltr]#526[/ltr] Net Log - Southern SSB Net. 22/11/2018. 27.395 MHz Another nice night – with the temperature bizarrely higher by the time I went QRT at 22.47 (7 degrees) than when I arrived on the hill top at 18.45 (5 degrees). Dec 09, 2018[ltr]#533[/ltr] all and welcome. It's been awhile since I've done one of these . Here is the report for Southern Area SSB Net (sometimes called The Original Thursday Night Net, the Southern Net or the South Coast Net) held on the 06/12/2018. My set up for the night was a CRE 8900, a standard CRE coffin mic and a Moonraker GAP half wave on a 2.5 meter pole.
WX report for the forest. It was cold, wet, windy & miserable.
Here is the of list stations heard and or worked by the net. All stations are 26 division unless stated.

Dec 14, 2018[ltr]#536[/ltr] Net Log - Southern SSB Net. 13/12/2018. 27.395 MHz BRRRRRR… A COLD ONE! The weather was still but chilly, dropping to freezing when I went QRT at 22.29.
