Hi. I've just registered and would like a CT call sign. Purchased a CRT 9900 (yes,,,found one,!) and a Sirio ML145, which seems to work fine in the car, static mobile. Can't wait to get some good contacts in the log, and looking forward to hearing back from anyone in Hampshire so I can get off to a fresh start (it's been 30+ years!)
Glad to hear CB is making a return, if only in a small way but I never had a decent rig , just bleedover boxes and the obligatory DV27 and Rover biscuit tin as we all started !!
Also would appreciate any information on nets that I can participate in on South coast.
Look forward to receiving a call sign, I don't suppose 26CT2636 is available or 26CT4040? Both are significant numbers that I won't forget !!

You appear to have posted a callsign request twice so I have deleted one of them to avoid any confusion for callsign issue.
I have also checked through the callsign allocation list and it appears that both the numbers you have requested are already issued. You can check through the sites callsign list using the following link :-
Charlie Tango Directory
That will help you choose another number that is not already in use or you can ask for the next available callsign number.
As for nets in your area you can check the sites 'Nets & Skeds' section, link below :-
CT Nets & Skeds
For your area you will probably have the most success with the 'Southern & South Coast Area SSB Net'. They run a very good and popular net on Thursday evenings at 8:00pm on 27.395Mhz USB.
Hope that all helps
All the best, Victor

Cheers Steve and Gary. Is it just pot luck with ssb 27.555 activity/skip or is there any webpage that updates to show when the band is open so you can jump on?

Listen to Web based SDR, (software defined radio), for activity
...or sit in front of your radio.
We had some great summer skip this year and you've probably missed most of it by now. Openings usually start from October onwards with another peak of activity at winter solstice, (December/January).
Or simply shout out whenever you can and hope someone's listening.
You're welcome. Best of luck.
