Hi, I am Mike and I have been into radio comunications since I built my first crystal radio way back in 1968'ish (was 12, I think), been into radio communications ever since.
I first started on CB back in the good old AM/SSB only days and went on many marches/demonstrations to get it legalised(I think I was only 18 or 20, time flies).
I started with a second hand Fidelity home base radio and gradually progressed to a Cobra with all the 'bells and whistles' and finally ended up with a Ham International Jumbo.
From a long break from CB got married then children came along, so I was 'out of the game' for a long time. I took my C&G Amateur Radio exam back in 98' I think it was, and had another child, so went off the hobby again.
In January of 2020 I was made disabled and have little use in one hand and can barely walk... so... along came the urge to get back into the radio communications game again. I am hoping to get my antenna's erected as soon as I can find somebody to do that for me(aerial installers are way to expensive and most just don't want my business), anyway, I hope I have not said too much, I do 'waffle on' a bit sometimes, LOL
A CTDX callsign would be appreciated
73 Mike
