Only had a few minutes spare yesterday at lunchtime. Shortish skip between here and Luxembourg was strong with a few stations heard. Worked one briefly near the T5, but cut very short by a loud station making animal noises
Better half is at work much of this weekend and I'm not on-call so fingers crossed for some good skip conditions

11m 27.555, few years ago i would get that area on midds FM, but now only USB and if skip is good, AM works. North UK and Midlands is my normal 27,555 contact area these days.

The skip path's getting shorter. 108 div coming in to south of UK now. Just fought through the Scots to manage a QSO into 19 div on UK FM.

Another great Sunday for DX with the bands seemingly open throughout the day.As soon as the radio was switched on it was countless Division’s from all across Europe. When the sporadic E is this good it pays to try things a bit differently,So AM was the first place to start.Plenty of Italian stations booming in as usual and they seem as surprised as I am too chat as if they were downstairs the signals are that strong.Bergama northern Italy 10/9’s being the best on AM that morning. Not bad 804 miles on 10 watts. Then plenty of friendly 13 divisions in Hanover,Berlin,Frankfurt and Stuttgart.More then helpful and thank you for the flowers...Lol Then a tune around on 26Mhz which seems a damn sight quieter to me with less QRM and for less stations.161 Warsaw Poland and thanks for letting me chat on your net to a great bunch of lads. The skip just kept on continuing and by 9pm I was chatting to Glasgow on the UkFm,The short Dx makes a nice change and the 108 lads don’t hold back..lol As I sit here now drinking my morning Coffee it seems today may be just as good because the 27.555 is buzzing with activity,Sadly I won’t be chatting and don’t you just love Monday mornings. Tell me what I miss today.. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

I was out for a lot of yesterday, but did manage a few contacts. Can't moan too much though as had much of Saturday to myself and the radio and it was pretty good conditions then too. Glad you managed to make the most of yesterday. Always surprised how well we can get into Poland sometimes as it is quite a distance compared to some other European countries that come in, especially the far east side.
Work shortly, so like you Tom probably going to miss some good stuff. Hopefully they'll be a bit running this evening.

Deafeningly Quiet and the bands,Just 1 divisions on LSB can be heard but no reply..The 1kw brigade.. Was Greatly informed by StevieG on his 115 net that the culprit was a gigantic solar flair. (How did I miss that) So that explains the almost non existent radio communication.Just a S 4-5 QRM and strange buzzing noises.Let’s see how this continues for. Did manage the only one bit of DX last night to 329 Czech Republic with both our signals up and down like yo up’s. How’s everyone else finding the bands at their QTH’s Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

sun just ejected its most extreme X-Flare since 2017.sun is normally pretty active, but it seems that it may have just ended an 11-year quiet cycle with quite a bang, but band isĀ active.
