Anybody know the mod to wideband this radio. A m8 has bought one and want's it doing.

Remove power, antennas etc.
Turn rig upside down with front of rig facing away from you, remove bottom cover
Looking at the back side of the front panel "logic board" just to the side of center, along the bottom (actually now at the top) you'll see diode D15, this is a typical non-surface mount glass diode.
Clip this diode.
Reassemble rig.
Mod complete. Not responsible for errors on your part.

Thanks for the replies and the conformation on D15. I did tell my m8 that i had found the mod but i found a second one that said to remove a surface mounted d53 i think it was but it didn't sound right. He was up for a chance of failure but i wasn't so told him to hang on. Thanks again to all.
