| I like it. It is the same "form factor" as the Elecraft KX3 but, to me, the Elecraft looks a bit "agricultural". OK I know the KX3 has a good RF circuitry but this has 6, 4, 2 and 70cms. IMO this is what the Yaesu FT818 should have been. To me the 817 / 818 has too small a screen and tiny knobs and buttons. Would I swap my 817 for one? Seriously thinking about it

| I have a 818 and I prefer it being rugged for portable use ... it really is a solid rig and something with a touch screen I would be thinking it's too delicate and mother it more . Have they anounded a date or price for the uk ?
I do fancy one _________________ 73 , Matt CTX Chief and dogs body!

I do fancy one March next year is a fairly solid arrival date. Price is less so but supposedly about a thousand. Assuming it can be opened up for 11m I certainly fancy one as well.

Matt £1200 seems to be the price. I think I will give it a while before I get involved - I want to get a new tent first I think and that is going to be a few bob. https://swling.com/blog/2019/12/icom-ic-705-price-and-availability/
