hi sorted my icom i-cr 71 e with mains hum it was the psu some owner did a bodge up of the soldering a bit of wire doing make and break resolderedĀ  no buzz the rx has talk back remote control and fully loaded with filters time for projects and repairs thanks for looking stay safe do radio 73s paul m0kbd

Hi Paul,

I'd completely missed your Icom posting but glad you got it all sorted out.

The power supply was always a weak point on that model and commonly suffered dry/cracked joints due to the wave soldering production method they used back then. (Repaired a couple myself.)

Congratulations on sorting it out, they're nice radio's so I hope you enjoy using it.
