Programming the CRT SS 9900

Hi all. My Yaesu is getting a bit hard to manage, especially with all the band switching, so I'm thinking of buying a CRT SS 9900. The guy in the radio shop we have here is not very sure about how to undo the pre-installed programme. Could someone reassure me that no matter how it is programmed, that I can undo it and put in my own programme? Many thanks, guys, Max, 29-CT-057.

Factory reset will put it back to a 10m rig i think.
You can then program it how you want.

Yes, that's what I want. When I do my own programming, will it cover 26.000 Mhz to 28.000 Mhz easily?

Should do that when you get it but if not then yes you can program it to cover that.

it covers from 25 so its a fine radio

The last one i did i programmed all 60 channels in each bank.
But i did them ending in 0 or 5 alternating if you get what i mean made it easy for me it did.
Sold the radio and didn't keep a copy of the file as wouldn't need it again but wish i had saved it as it took hours for me with only one hand.

I bought mine recently from Knights. I followed the booklet and was able to programme 42 channels from 27.410 to 27.605 into one band, in 5Khz steps, by pressing the channel knob once, and changing the frequency on every individual channel. 27.410,   27.415,   27.420 ......... and so on. I didn't need to go near the software.

Sure, just 5Khz steps all the way.

On mine there are 12 bands, A - L. The radio covers everything between 24.880 and 30.105. I can put any frequency between and including those two into any band I want, A - L, but of course you are limited to 100 Hz minimum steps, but you'll never need that.
