Hi all am up to the four module on the foundation, if I do the mock on Essex ham my results are terribly, But when I do the rsgb 2019, I get results of 24 on page one, and 23 page two.. it's not very promising on the for me course, must be my age..

Stick with it Chris
I'm sure about half way through the Essex Ham course I suddenly started doubting what I thought I already knew!?!
Leave your RSGB past papers and mocks to one side for the moment as it's A) a distraction, and B) Parrot learning. Enjoy the course because I know that as you near the end your confidence will suddenly boost and you'll feel much better about it all.
Don't fret about it all, they're not looking to test for 'genius', just making sure you'll be a great radio operator
If it helps any, I acknowledged the 'Charing Cross' question as a sort of 'trick' question because although I thought I knew it I missed it on a past mock paper(!) I had that particular question on my RSGB exam.....and it was asked straight out with no deflection or confusing elements whatsoever!
It's only in hindsight that it seemed rather over the top, but if I hadn't learned that question inside out I wouldn't have known the answer either (Plus you can look it up on your exam reference sheet anyway! It's a test to see if you will either know, or better still, check your operating licence requirements.)
You'll do alright. Just enjoy it.
Best of luck, Victor

Don't panic Chris lol Victor has just fell of his chair laughing. I was just the same even worse. Getting on a bit in years dyslexic and the memory of a gold fish that's me. Victor had more faith in me than i did. I just got my head down with the course and had an APP on my phone for hundreds of mock tests. Half way through the course to push myself i booked my test. When i finished the course to push myself even more i spent 1k+ on a Yaesu ft991a and 2 antenna's. My test was booked for 9.30am so i could get it over with. With all the mock tests and the course i must have soaked in something as i didn't get any questions that i had seen before but i am now MW7TTA.
