Yesterday I worked PZ5RA (Suriname) for a new one.
Today there is a fair Es opening to Europe so I worked Denmark for a new one amongst a host of Euros. All FT8, although signals were peaking S9 and SSB would have been possible, but nobody heard on the SSB portion of the band.
New countries today were OH1NDA, LA7QIA & 5Z4VJ all FT8, the band has been open to somewhere or another all day today.
VK heard this morning but, once again, I failed to work them
Nice catch 5Z4VJ, I still need to catch Andy on 10, worked him on most bands.

The band continues to be busy at times and open to somewhere interesting quite often, todays new countries were 4L6QL (Georgia) and VP8ADR (Falklands). FT8 with 50 watts into a short length of vertical wire

I heard you at 08:16 trying 7Z1AL, did you get him?
I tried but not hear me, been a poor day for me, most not hearing me.

No joy, but as I'd worked the country before I didn't try for too long. Chile, Colombia and other exotica were on so tried harder for them. Happy to work the Falklands though.

Ten FT8 has been a bit iffy for me, signal not making it to most DX. Heard quite a few VKs and couple of ZLs but did not make it. Apart from a few a Russians when I called CQ, the best of was R9HCM NO26 in Tomsk.

R9HCM is a good distance. Well done on that one Mike.
From about 16:00 receive conditions got pretty good for an hour or so from many directions on 10, 11 and 12m. Right when I was starting to prepare dinner so mostly only listened and the few calls I made didn't come to anything unfortunately. It was a great listen nonetheless and areas heard via SSB included countries from the central and south Americas (Cuba, Puerto Rico and Argentina), middle east (UAE), Scandinavia (Norway), one VK station and and one OX, the first Greenland station I have heard.
Guess it was some E's in action as way above the MUF by that time. Hopefully some of you caught it too and got a few good ones. I am sure if any of you FT8ers were working 10 at that time you must of had a blast
Mike and Neal, it's good to hear that you are both getting into 10 It's certainly getting quite lively on there most days.
Today, I am suffering a day in the office (first time in ~6 weeks) and managed to work one new 'country', A41KB in Oman on my lunch break FT8 via the interwebs to my home station.
Nice to see 10m open while I was working in the shack
Nice one (or nice four I should say)! Could I ask what time they were roughly, I guess during the middle of the day? Have had no chance of doing any radio during the week daytimes recently, and 10m has been dead when I get home at night. I should have some time on Saturday though, so fingers crossed for an opening then.

It's the same for me, supposed to be retired but still go to work. By the time I get in the shack it's gone 6:30pm. 10 is usually dead 20m FT4 keeps going into darkness. Saturday and Sundays have nearly always been my days

Lots of DX to be heard on 10m today. Only one QSO for me though on there. SSB, 10w
W3DIY - USA
Far from being the most rare/exotic stations heard on the band, but my first 10m one into state side this year, so I'm happy

Well done Neal. Once I have the DXCC on the band with FT8 I shall then start on SSB and you will be way ahead of me.
A few new ones heard today, but I have a feeling 6 is going to explode soon

Although lots of DX yesterday I found it hard going.
Some stations heard me easy but others no responce. South America seemed to be the best path although lots of US stations were booming here.
Anyway stuff worked on FT8

Well done Mike. I did hear the FT8 wail coming through very strongly when playing with wire in the garden yesterday morning so was sure there would be some nice lists posted here. Your list mimics the areas I heard on SSB. I had a bit of east side central americas coming through too, but only one contact on the close by 12m band into Cuba, CO8LY. ZD7FT was one heard on 10m I would like to have worked but gave up trying to break the pileup.

Well done on Cuba. I had a quick look a SSB but not much heard but CW end had quite a few bashing away. Ten had some more NA and SA this afternoon but again non appear to hear me although I was called by CE2SV after I called him loads of times but it faded out.
Anyway some more DX from this morning Some more FT8 this morning, had time before doing the Sunday lunch.

Nowhere near matching those FT8 distances yesterday Mike, some good ones in your log there!
I did manage a few 10m contacts, no new entities to me though, one into Russia and one in to Ukraine, and one technically just about "DX" SSB, 10w
CT9ABP - Madeira Isl (first contact into the island for this year)
That will probably be it for me on 10m until next weekend, unless we get some sporadic "E"vening openings. Look forward to reading what others manage during the week
