Hi,
I currently live in Worcester but am from the Black Country originally; I had a CB in the 80s when it was very popular in that area. Recently dug out my old gear, mainly to use in my campervan on trips (when we're allowed again), but very little seems to be going on in the Worcester area so looking at getting an SSB rig for a longer range when using at home.
Look forward to learning as much as I can and catching up with a few of you with a bit of luck.
All the best Jase

Hi Jase,
Welcome to Charlie Tango DX.
I do think an SSB rig will give you more options with range and contacts. You just have to get used to the 'Donald Duck / Mickey Mouse' voices to start with
Callsigns are usually issued most days so hopefully you won't be waiting too long.
All the best, Victor

Thanks all, It'll be a little while before I'm up and running on anything other then UK40, but I'll be reading everything I can to get up to speed in readiness. Leaning toward an SS-6900 at the moment, seems a good combination of features whilst not being overly complicated to the initiated.
