RSGB Site login

Anybody else having problems logging into the RSGB.
It keeps coming up user unknown or something along those lines.

Got me thinking now if i am a member.
Didn't we have to join to book the test ?.
Anyway i got the book at the members price without logging in just went along with name address and so on.

Don't think so mate, pretty sure you have to pay membership fees to join and my 'stingy' attitude wouldn't allow me to do that.

Got my book at membership price too but via the RSGB eBay listing.


As for my quip at 'stingy', I'd happily contribute to the work they do if I had the means. Luckily you aren't held back from being a Ham because of limited earning abilities. Admirable stuff indeed.

But didn't we join so we could book the test.
I remember going on the website and it asking me to pay for a subscription or something then asking you.
Your reply was STOP don't pay anything but no idea how i went about booking the test.

I didn't Alan, I just booked my test and after some initial website problems made my £27.50 payment for Foundation.
(Checked my bank for ages afterwards to make sure they hadn't taken a double fee or something!)

Are you sure you didn't click on their 'special offer' of the first three months free via Direct Debit? (Bit of a catch all that one )

If you only paid the £27.50 then all you paid for was the examination fee not a membership.
(If you had joined you would've received a copy of the Radcom magazine by now as well.)

Just the rest i still can't remember lol but i only paid the £27.50 for the test.
Anyway it let me buy the book at the members price but i will watch my bank all the same.

I found the RSGB prices to be good and free postage.
Plus you know you will get the latest version ?? i hope.
