Hello all, just a quick new member introduction. Steve here from Frimley in Surrey. I was an avid CBer on the IoW in my teens back in the 90s and really enjoyed it. I lost my wife in November and decided to get a van to convert to a camper and go travelling (when the world gets back to normal). During the conversion I thought I'd stick an aerial on the roof so I can get a CB down the road at some point, but I got impatient and picked up a cheapo T-800. However, with no SSB I'm a bit handicapped so I've just ordered an SS9900! I only intend on using the 11m for now, with the possibility of doing my HAM in the future. I've had the nickname 'Steve the Pirate' for years, so I expect I'll use that on the airwaves. If the forum gods could see fit to issue me a call sign, I'd really appreciate it. I look forward to chatting to some of you in the future.
