Hello everyone, I was in the scene so long ago it feels like a distant memory now and I packed my rig away when it all went legal. I was in my early teens then so much water has passed under the bridge. I took my foundation and intermediate and messed about on the ham bands for a while a good few years ago too but it wasn't much fun at the time and I left it alone for ages. I'm back on now anyway and it's all so different now but I'm enjoying it a lot so far. QRM is a massive problem here and when I load up my SDR you can it has big chunks that are just terrible but I'll do some more detective work and see what I can find. Enough waffle. Hello everybody, thanks for having me and if I could get a callsign that would be great. Scott

Hi Scott,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
Sounds like you've got a fair bit of radio history under your belt. Glad you're enjoying your return to it.
Noise problems on receive can be the proverbial pain in the posterior but try not to let it become a flea in your ear. As annoying as it is, it's unfortunately something we mostly have to live with in modern times. We can resolve our own noise problems but can't blame everyone else for causing theirs. I played with noise eliminators, chokes and ferrites only getting so far. You can fair old land up chasing your own tail!
All the best, Victor
