Hi I have set up a new homebase and for the life of me i cant get anything on it ive used am fm usb lsb all bands all i get is squelch not sure what the problem could be just looking for a radio check if anyone is nearby nottingham south Cheers

bugger ok i will get the new antenna up and maybe give you a heads up on here later if you are about thanks for your help there chef appreciate it i should get to donny from here i will not too sure what 555 means this radio i got i think its been programmed wrong i will keep shouting out on channel 19 fm which on my radio says its 27.18500 band D if you can just check in now and again later about 6ish should have it up by then Cheers

You do realise that 27:555 USB is the International calling channel for SSB for the last 40 years and not FM please respect this

i think i was ripped off with this rig none of the channels are set correctly all confused help me out here i have a frequency list it says EU/CEPT channel 19 is 27.1850 and the uk one is 27.78125 which do i use lol

27:781.25 FM is the main UK channels if it end in .25

What is the make and model of your radio. Sounds to me like you have 80 channels uk/eu am/fm

yes i have its a AT-5555 11 meter and 10 meter its all been programmed wrong i figured out uk channel 33 on the rig is actually channel 19 - 27.78125 so everything is to cock i am sending it back but for now i am just using the frequencies to hop about ive ordered a ss9900 from knights so it should come proper programmed by them
on a lighter note i just put up new antenna a venom and i got my first acknowledgement tonight only for a few seconds from a chap in derby but then i lost him it must be this weather
