Essentially, in my early 50s now, been involved with all aspects of radio since my 5th birthday where I was allowed to sit in on my dad's shack whilst he worked on his ham radio projects. So been through CB, worked with obscure foreign 'intercom' type radio systems mostly unheard of beyond PAC territories, commercially designed an early digital trunked radio system and control/access boards to re-purpose otherwise junk off-spec Pye MX trunking radio mobiles with matching repeater setup (essentially a commercial grade, budget, equiv of today's MMDVM items but of a much early tech generation).
Mostly operating on 2M/70 DV Simplex and 40m-70CMS SSB, but still do browse and occasionally hit 11m around when I'm checking out 10m.
I'm more into what people see as 'dark magic' bands, modes and tech, to be blunt, than reinventing the wheel.
Every quirk in radio can be explained in context of nothing altered exists in isolation and I've no tolerance for demon tweakers who've no concept of collateral damage and impact.

@GaryWilson Hi Gary, I filled out the rest of the profile earlier today.
@Everyone thanks for comments etc -
I forget to add - at one time actually sat the RAE equiv in every continental region and held (in at least one, still do) multiple ham calls beyond my M1 call. Whilst inactive, was s graduate of professional maritime HF training, still hold maritime VHF and DMR Tier II commercial tickets. My one remaining foreign call still active, was a US one I claimed when I sat the FCC exam series and tests for what then was all grades of ham license stateside whilst part of an exchange based at a USAF base over here, and still legally maintain the call.
I was reading replies whilst listening to a local ARS club pre-Zoom meeting radio net where they were talking about old/silent-key names from the past, most of which I remember hearing and a few I actually met on rare occasions as a kid when they visited my father.
It was very much dark magic and sorcery back then still, and those who ventured into the stratospheric heights of 70cms upwards were half-hated by many as the unclean 'B' ops where crossed the line way too far, but amongst the more open minded, those brave souls were the NACA (pre NASA) rocket scientists of ham radio. I, for one, was greatly inspired by those dark sorcerers who sowed the seeds of never doubting until you give it a shot optimism.
So I'll close by saying - enjoy your particular window of the radio world, do it responsibly with due consideration, and remember that we're all in the same boat ultimately - what we abuse or squander (though squatting possession of without actively using or exploit to death beyond the spirit of intended use) can be easily lost and when it comes to clawing back losses, it's way harder than you think. Where it matters to mention it is whether you op under a formal ticket or under a license-free/exempt (two distinctly separate statuses), these days you can literally be banned (at risk of imprisonment as well) from any use of radio and telephony access (barring life threatening seeking assistance) if you're considered dangerous enough. So keep it in mind, when you test the limits of your allocation garden walls.

Hello,
I'm not doing call signs until later today but a quick check of your profile tells me you haven't entered your name. If you do it now I can do your call sign later.
73's Gary.
