Hello All, I'm Timbo, Been using radio since a teenager in the 1980's when CB was very popular. started to use marine VHF as a Coastguard and lifeboat volunteer some 30 years ago and got into amateur radio in the early 2000's. Got given an old midland CB and thought, why not! Not sure how much CB is being used in my area but keen to discover over the coming weeks.
Please could I be allocated a CT callsign, that would be fab! BW Tim

I've moved your request to a posting of its own to ensure you don't get missed by Admin for call sign allocation. Your profile is all filled in and ready to go so you should be issued in the next day or so.
Great introduction and well done with all your work with the coastguard and lifeboat services there.
Don't forget that the CEPT/EU CB frequencies can also be legally used with Sidebands, AM etc. in the UK and with your location your bound to be able to contact our European cousins on the Continent via CB/11m. All interesting stuff I'm sure you'll agree and I hope that a CT call sign helps you explore this part of the radio spectrum.
All the best, Victor
