Hi John, I'm not too far away in Hartlepool. I'm just getting back into it, but am mobile when I'm on. Really wanting to get a home antenna up, been on about it for years, but never did. Just not sure what the neighbours will think. I do see radio antennas up on some houses when driving around. I've tried with my mobile antennas indoors, but not picked anything up, unless there's just no-one about.
The most I pick up is on my scanners, plenty of marine activity, and some aircraft/towers.
Hope to catch you on air sometime, when this storm dies down I'll be going down to our seafront at Seaton Carew and having a go from there. Had some good DX from there across the North Sea into Europe before.

I still have my CB’s but no antennas. When I moved I left them behind. I’m using a handheld scanner for now to do a bit of earwigging , I manage to hear a few breakers on 145.300 but that’s about it. Might get back on the air one day. Still have my first rig I bought in 79. Hope to catch you and a few others. 10 10
