Nice one there Sam.
Heard some Superbowl yesterday with shouts to London stations and later on Alpha Tangos from Europe. Conditions need to pick up a bit more before I can attempt to work them though!
Well done!

Excellent Sam!
I wonder if Michael Fish has moved into space weather because this is just wrong, shown as 'poor' all day...
I was listening to stations from Oz this morning during breakfast and there's been interesting activity since then throughout the whole day, even right now.

Definitely a Michael Fish moment there Neal as I've just had Florida booming the 300's LSB!
As I always say it's best to look out the window for sunshine than wait on weather reports....or in other words just turn the damn radio on!
I think I'm going to land up missing it all due to other plans, ( ) but I hope some of you catch the action. Bit going on the triple at the moment and here's hoping there's some sunset conditions coming up.
Best of luck everyone!

In over 25 yrs of 11m dxing I have never looked at solar charts etc, preferring to turn on the radio and see how things are.I dx less often nowadays but if I am out in my workshop/shack the radio is often on and when the conditions are good I give out some calls usually not on T5 but slightly lower down. Yesterday was one of those good days where it all comes together........perhaps cycle 25 will be a good one, here's hoping...

Superbowl is floating over to Helsinki now, but it seems London stations and Wales are getting back to the strongest station at the moment, ,good news, world wide is the main call sign i here.

This past Sunday (4/3) was a hit and miss DX conditions kind of ordeal. At some point the new Beam antenna needs to go up!! This omni life gets crazy when DX is in all directions.... Solar flare or something happen Friday/Saturday...Just got home from work and haven't turned the radio on as of yet. This part of the cycle (25) is where it gets from (A hobby) to a bit of a sport, if on the omni. Seems getting the US new DXers trained, isn't going so well..lol call out, QSY and enjoy.... just like social media, we are attracted to 1 channel and can't seem to change the knob? I feel like a odd ball with the vfo, gets too busy, spin it, I'm not the only one.. cheers

Iv been experiencing the most amazing conditions I've ever encountered over the last 4 days. I managed to make contact with World Radio 949 handle of Barker in California. After replying to his CQ he came back with my callsign, I then proceeded to talk into the front of my microphone instead of the back (whoops) he then said "You've really picked up now" lol , half way around the world, pretty happy with that.... we exchange some good overs before I left everyone else to it. There's also been loads of strong Indonesian skip, New Zeeland and what sounded like Russian. Happy days.
Hi Hotel Zulu 253,Your absolutely right the skip conditions have been flat one day and amazing the next.As I write this the bands are alive with Divisions from all over the world (USA,South America and The West Indies)To name just 3. I’ve QSO’s in the last week with Reunion Island,Indonesia, Australia, Russia,USA , Canada,Greece,Brazil and the list goes on and on.God knows what it will be like once Solar cycle 25 really kicks into play. All I know is my QSL card collection is getting bigger.(I need more CT QSL cards) Cheers Tom 26CT4029

I could hear Grease yesterday, it was great to hear and instantly made me think .... "When the moon hits your eys like a big pizza pie, that’s amore....." AU operators were in full chicken band mode, I didn't bother trying to make contact as it was just too busy for my liking.

Yesterday countries heard faintly here, but not got back to, were Austria, Italy and Germany, and a strong station from Slovenia. Definitely a change from the much further Brazil and other south and central American countries that have been on the band recently.
Sporadic E season starting to awaken?

Yes get that Lincoln warmed up....11m is in good shape atm with lots of long dx, before the shorter summer skip hits.
Of course there is nothing wrong with short hop skip.

Got a second Lincoln last night. A mk 1 in the box so might have a play this morning.
