Same here Kilomike,Nothing for days propagation wise with just the locals whistling on the T5..lol Then as if someone flicked a switch the bands came alive,Mostly on the Mid block FM and a few on the highs. So booming in was 13,21 and 47 divisions just like they used to do.. Let’s hope we get some good autumn/winter propagation because the last few weeks have been hard and trying not to wear the channel Selector out. I like to give a big hello to 47 CT 02 a fellow Charlie Tango member I spoke to this evening,5 and 9 all the way from Denmark and loosing my double glazing with that station.Cheers Tim I kept to my word as I know your be reading this,Thanks for the QSO and 73’s I even managed to chat to the lads on the 305 which I haven’t done for ages as I think E skip is needed to reach St Albans.. Kilomike,Two 3 divisions that’s fantastic geezer and long may it last. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Not had much time for the radio last week, but when it was on didn't hear anything in the day, and get too much QRM in the evening usually. Glad to read it's still skipping though!

Cheers Sam and John, hope to catch you both on the bands. Just giving the imax2000 a 2nd lick of
vanish today, my hands were covered in splitters strapping it up, I got that tip from Sam in the old forum seems to work a treat on the Antron 99 that I use for mobile.

Hi Tony,
My old a99 is still in perfect condition despite it being 10 yrs old now, varnish sure does the job of stopping it becoming brittle and letting in water.
Yes it would be nice to catch up again,it's been a while..
Last night I was listening to 34 div booming in approx 8pm which is a good sign that 2 div may be heard soon..and now summer has ended I have more radio time.
Just sat in front of a hissing radio for an hour and nothing to be heard on the 11 meter bands. Not even on the muppets.. Anyone heard anything or managed any good contacts today. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Same here in Finland, DX is zero, local radio in my area is a bit active during the day, weekends the evenings are good for a good chat about, what ever you want.

I haven't had a lot of time to listen over past days, but when I have put it on it has been very quiet.
Not near a radio just the moment so can't say on the morse. But I have heard some occasionally when the skips running, and also hear FT8 on chan 24/25 on mid block too quite often.
I guess with little skip about on 11m at the moment it's a good time to try for some long line of sight or ground wave contacts.
This evening seemed like another struggle for Dx was on the cards,Managed a short QSO with a 1 division in Sardinia and didn’t realise it was a tiny island south of Italy until I checked Google maps. Geography was never a strong subject for me at school..lol So for the next few hours I flicked around from band to band with nothing to hear or stations barely making it over my floor noise. Then low and behold 26.505 to 26.395 MHz USB back to back 161 Divisions,I’ve just spent the last 2 hours chatting to Warsaw and across Poland and their still S5 as we speak now. It’s not all about the T5… Then the Lows 26.855 MHz and a few 13 divisions,Just shows I should check further down the frequencies more often and you know where I’ll be starting from tomorrow evening and no doubting my working conditions for another day.lol Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Well done Tom, glad you managed to catch some action on there, you're doing better than I.
Have had a quick flick through just now and is quiet again for me at the moment. Not looked at any charts about band activity, but tuned through 15m to 10m. I can hear South Africa on 15m and some quiet stations that I can't quite make out on 12m on 24.971.. that's pretty close to 11m so will scan the CB bands for the next half hour to see if anything pops up.
Thanks SangueG,Sadly last night wasn’t a repeat of Tuesday and I’m flicking through the bands right now. It’s silent apart from a few UKFM stations. But the charts do look like their heading In the right direction.I’ll be on the southern and south coast net later 27.395 USB 8pm,I was supposed to try my first bit of static mobile this evening but just haven’t had the time to finish running cables through the bulk head and set everything up just right maybe Saturday as the old nights seem to be drawing in earlier and earlier.Let’s see what this evening brings DX wise.Good luck chaps. Just heard a local DXer have a QSO with 44CI141 on 27.545, so SA has made in up on to 11m!! Too quiet for my poor ears to hear properly, but good luck if any of you manage a contact.

Loads of 29 Divisions on the highs 27.415-27.655 Mhz this evening and strangely 26 divisions from the south coast.fantastic signals and crystal clear as I do like a bit of short skip. The only thing I do have trouble receiving is 163 divisions for some reason. Then on AM on the Super Bowl channel as they call it 27.025 MHz America booming in,God knows what power they use but sometimes it’s radio 5 and signal 20 DB..lol I called out as you do but I fell on deaf ears,One day I might get the ‘26 London I hear you buddy’ reply until then we live in hope. Have a lovely evening and let’s see what tomorrow brings DX wise. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Hi Victor. It was right on sunset time, so it might have been helping. First SA station I have heard on CB since returning to it. Definitely worth listening the next couple of days if you can. I am out tonight at that time unfortunately
Glad it picked up later on Tom. Wasn't still on then to catch that, sadly. Interestingly though that you say about hearing 26 div short skip, as a quick spin through the whole SW bands before I clicked off showed inter G on 20m which is not very normal. So with SA on 15m then soon after on 11m, then inter G on 20m and soon after on 11m, if anyone has a SW receiver it's definitely worth a spin through lower bands to see if there is anything unusual and what might appear on CB in the coming hour.
Could make you jealous and say I get 163 div through many days.. but I'm only 20 miles from the border On the US Super Bowl channel, seen vids and read that a few are using over 10x the amount UK full licenced Hams can use. It might happen once in a blue moon, but breaking through to them on a stock radio can give a great feeling and be very funny at the same time.
Fingers crossed for some good conditions this weekend.

Nothing at all here today other than a just audible voice in Scotland cutting through the static who seems resident on 27.555 many days who was hurling foul mouthed abuse and threatening physical violence toward some other unheard station
The skip this evening was better good and varied.First QSO was with 34 division the Canary Islands which is also a first for me and on Mid block FM.The rest of the channels on that band being completely quiet,Very strange.Second QSO with a very distant and quiet 108 division but the contact was still made. Plenty of 3 divisions on 27.525 but your battling with other stations rather then the elements. In the end I gave up calling because your never hear the reply while other people call out for themselves.. Even heard a 2 division briefly on 27.385 LSB but it was gone snd nothing else heard. So not a bad night really with a couple of 11m contacts in the log. Cheers everyone and have a great weekend. Well done Tom on the 34 div contact.
15m has had a very strong opening to east coast US and Canada this afternoon, lets see if the conditions ascend to 11m later. At the moment it's pretty quiet to me except for a lone station from Serbia contest calling on 27.535.
