Been a bit quiet for skip here in South Finland, moving house ib 4 weeks so radios now packed, just the antenna to take down and pack it up.
Still got a Mk Kinley wide band in the car so will see what may happen on the 11m skip and local radio.

I am pretty deaf to the far south, SA is a rare one for me to hear on there. When you tune in and hear Tarzan noises, music, and Oscar on the 555 then you know the band is really alive

Hello Sam,
I had a pleasant couple of hours at the dx location. I managed to work Mr Tulio 3DA001 from Sao Paolo. I had a good ragchew with Alan 26TC101 down in conventry. He also heard the Lebanese station. Lots of Brazilian stations later on and Trinidad and Tobago was strong for a while. So I tuned in to 27.515 lsb and could hear a few West Indian stations, but all too low to work.
I heard South Africa calling on 27.385 lsb. Steven 44/124, but there was lots of qsb and stations calling. He was working everything from Britain, Germany, UAE, New Zealand and the States. Would have been nice to get him in the log.

Cycle 25 is starting to look good. Always great to hear 2 and 9 divs. Just in the process of dusting off my two element Super Yagi. I just need to sort out a descent drive-on mount. I used to lash it to a gatepost in the past, but that was always a bit iffy. Lol.

I am not a fan of .385lsb as it becomes a bit like the FM Muppet 19 when conditions are good (today they were) but it can be entertaining for a while. Putting out your call and hearing 5 or so stations coming back from many different states is fun and pulling out one of their calls for a qsy and a good ragchew is what i prefer. 173 James in Tennessee was a good 20 min ragchew and eventually running 20w on both sides proves conditions were great.
Caribbean also worked on 27.515lsb...
Back to work tomorrow..grrrrrr

I always enjoy working .515. The West Indian lads are always good fun to ragchew with. We should start seeing some action on 26.285 with the improving conditions.

Low band has also been good for stateside contacts over the years but yes .285 can be very good...
.515lsb is great for Carribean i agree...

Hello everyone and hope your all well and doing fine. The propagation has certainly moved now with the winter approaching and things look good for QSO’s with different divisions. At the moment I’m hearing 116 (Turkey) and 50 (Russia) divisions on Mids Fm and Am.2 (USA) and 9 (Canada) in the evenings on 27.385 LSB booming in as always and on Am.Like Cozzmik says 27.285 and .185 which I believe is the truckers channel and also .025 Super Bowl. It’s surprising what just pops up unexpectedly. Bit busy today with work commitments but still managed a few decent QSO’s. 50KCB291 Dima,3SKD351 Fernando and 18GR02 and 18CT813 both on a 11m meter parrot 🦜 repeater on 27.355 Fm.Which I later found out was in Russia. Cheers everyone be lucky and great DX P.s roll on the 1st of December.. Tom. 26CT4029

I know what you mean, Sam. I will also be trying 26.420 usb for the Canadian Outlaws. I have had some great contacts with them over the years.
I have been a member of the Canadian Outlaws for many years but i haven't heard anyone on .420 yet..
Got some freetime this weekend so hope conditions are decent.

Good to see you getting some dx in too Tom..
I like those repeaters on mids FM,there are a few usually workable.. Funny opening a Russian repeater to work Greece..
That’s exactly what I thought Cozzmik. But it was more likely being used by 18 division at the same time, lately I’ve been getting 50 division taxi services or couriers at 20dB and on 2 channels side by side.Crazy bleed over.Today conditions seemed flat until 1-2pm then the usual bombardment of 2 and 9 divisions and I can still hear South Carolina on 27.385 and it’s 7.40pm.The propagation is slowing moving as 2 divisions are being replaced by 3 and 34 divisions.Never heard not a single European station today. crazy Good DX everyone and take care. Cheers Tom 26CT4029

Hello Tom,
I have not heard the Russian Taxi Service (Olga) on this cycle yet. 3 div, the West Indies and 44 div were strong last Sunday.

I have also heard Olga loud on mids fm....the Russian call freq is 27.200fm and usually if you hear them then you will hear 2/9div later in the day. This autumn is already exceeding last year so predictions that this year will be good are coming true so far..
Good dx all......

Rushed for time today but still had a quick flick about. Early morning QSO to Downunder 43OP153 (G’day Paul) Far from perfect conditions but perseverance paid off 5/4 both ways signal wise. Then after work a few QSO’s from across the pond and all but one was down south. 2LA852 (Howdy Fred) in Louisiana and that was it for the radio today,Not too shabby Considering. Have a good week everyone and even better DX. Cheers Tom. 26CT4029

Evening all Charlie Tango’s, Sadly short on radio time today but what I’ve been told it wasn’t fantastic on 11 meters for UK Propagation.Just 2 QSO’s today 90EK101 Crete a new DXCC and 116/331TK007 (Great copy Esmir) Driving his truck across Bursa in Turkey and 5/9+10 dB.He told me on 20 watts too and laughed when I asked 20 watt input. Cheers Tom and have a good week. 26CT4029
