Hi folks,
Well, on impulse I have bought a cb radio, with some extra bits. I actually have no clue as to what to do with it all. I have a General Electric 3-5805A radio, an altai swr-2t, a mike and a bremi BRL 15 antenna matcher. All for £30. I know I will have to get some cables, not sure which and a power supply and ariel. As to what to do when I get these is still a mystery. I am thinking that I will use it for home use until I get the hang of things. Any advice, tips or tutorial's greatly received. Living in hope Thanks.

The radio you bought is a very old AM set so i don't think you will get very far with it but i could be wrong but i used that type of radio some 35 years ago. SWR meter could come in handy and maybe the matcher. Others will be along soon with a better idea of what to expect from your radio. Sorry i am not of much help.
