Its a 1929 Bakelite GPO Model 162 Pyramid Telephone, we live in an Art Deco style house built 1936, so I thought it appropriate for the hallway, I do have a 'modern' telephone though

Bought a 'new' telephone... 27182510

A 1937 Bakelite GPO Model 328, which seems to sit well alongside the PS4 Pro and 60 inch Plasma (was was watching a live Falcon 9 Launch Telemetry at the time).

I bought the Model 162 because the Model 121 Wall Phone I liked the look of had woodworm, so the Chinese Wall Phone ended up in the skip.

Prolly not these days, ha.

I see you're not far down the road from me, there's a chance we could actually have a QSO one day...

I saw one of the rotary dial old phones presented to a group of young people maybe 18 - 20, it was quite ammusing, they had absolutely no idea how to operate it!

I love the old 'phones like that.  A mate of mine has two of them and I'm sre they're identical to Wayne's.  My mate isn't in the 21st Century yet (or even the 20th!) and refuses to have a mobile phone Shocked
