Hello all - I'm returning to radio after a 40 year break. As a teenager in the 80s worked part time and saved to get my Midland 27 FM set, antenna on a scaffold pole would have been 20' on a 15' pole, parents used to ask me if it was all legal... we lived semi rural so no-one really could see it but the guy over the back was always asking my Dad if we had problems with the TV at night - coincidence maybe? Once i'd got the obligatory Bremi and an echo mic (which I swapped for a Honda PC50 Moped) I could get out of Leicestershire into, Notts, Derbs and West Mids when the chatter died off in the early hours. Needed to get further - Always wanted an AM SB set, but ran out of time, so i'll give it a go.
As time allows could I please get CT Call Sign -
Hopefully with good luck i'll get beyond the midlands in the coming years, if not I might get another PC50 Moped.. Franc
