Im getting this little symbol on m channel numbers and wondered what it my be?

I assume you mean the alpha symbol, if so it's because there is no 27.545MHz on a channel list. Channel 11 is 27.535MHz and Channel 12 is 27.555MHz so it's known as an 'Alpha' channel.
