Hi all
My name is Dan and after a hiatus of 40plus years I have just rediscovered CB radio! My teenage 1980's set up was a Fidelity CB2000 and DV27 bolted to the metal bedstead (following further trails with a biscuit tin a proper ground plane was eventually purchased and the antenna set up transferred to the loft). I regularly got copies on a Saturday morning from a breaker with a mobile set up on Caterham Hill, Surrey (28miles) which always amazed me - now looking to get more ambitious!
Looking forward to speaking to some of you soon and receiving a Charlie Tango DX call sign.

welcome mate , think we all have been there with a biscuit tin at one point or another lol, my old set up in the 80s was harrier homebase , harrier cbx ,cobra and ham international concorde mk2 for mobile , just running a thunderpole t800 and the old mk2 (stillgoing strong)
