Hi All I would just like to introduce myself to the group. My name is Andy and live in the South of Scotland Scottish Borders. I suppose I've had an interest in radios from back in the eighties when CB s were cool to the majority, this interest continued through my time in military using HF sets etc. I'm mainly doing mobile dxing now due to having a bad home base location. My radios are a Uniden Bearcat 980 ssb and a tti 880 antenna is currently a Thunderpole 4 ft Flexi stick. Many thanks and I would love to be considered for a call sign. Regards Andy

Hi Like to introduce myself to the group. My name is Andrew and I live in the Scottish Border. I've had an interest in radios for many years and like most from back in the CB days of the eighties, this continued on into my time in the army using the man pack HF sets and vehicle fits. I'm mainly mobile dxing as my home location is In a valley in an isolated community, my aim is to introduce CB radio in the area as a tool for isolated houses to keep in touch and as a social tool. My two radios are an Uniden Bearcat 980 ssb and a tti 8801. I would very much like to be considered for a call sign. I hope to be an active member in the group. Regards Andy

Hi Andy,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
I've merged your requests together here to prevent any possible confusion when it comes to callsign allocation.
If you can fill out your QTH to be the town/village you live in our near that will help with a call sign as its a requirement for allocation. (I understand you're rural but it will help.)
Great intro and good to hear about your radio interests and history especially loving the ideology about keeping isolated communities able to communicate with each other. Commendable stuff especially as so called modern communication methods aren't always available or reliable as many believe, so well done.
Keep an eye on this posting in the forthcoming days when our admin Gary issues you.
