Hi

I was 'big' into CB in the late 1970's ( in Coventry - handle was 'Lucifer' . . . Hence the JonP666 Username Smile ) and took my RAE City and Guilds before becoming a 'Ham' in the early 1980's.

Work and family took over but I have always dabbled with 27m FM ( despite the limitations ) before returning to Ham Radio a few years ago ( with my original Callsign. )

I talk world wide but have a group of friends in mainland Europe who are exclusively on 27MHz USB and I am missing out on their comms.   I have a Yaesu Transceiver which has been modified to work and plan on a road trip later in the year and it would be great if I could communicate the 'old fashioned way' as we cross Europe and down into Italy.

Having a callsign would add to the whole experience.
