Welcome to Charlie Tango.
I've used my admin privileges to fill in your profile for you from details here to ensure there are no delays in you receiving a call sign.
Keep an eye on this posting for when our admin Gary comes along to issue you one.
Nothing wrong with a bit of CB or any radio interest even later in life - better late than never I think they say.
There's some really helpful members here at the Charlie Tango forum and I'm sure if you have any questions relating to radio someone will happily do their best to assist you.
