Gareth from Rugby. Must be 40 years when I was about 13 that I last used a radio. Day job is mobile from central down to the south east back up to the north west daily. When I get my dedicated vehicle back I will be getting the radio installed. Will also be home based Rugby.
Very much hope to make a lot of contacts in the future. From both mobile and base.
I'd really like to request a CT callsign.
Thanks for providing the resource.

I've completed your forum profile for you from details provided here to ensure there are no problems for call sign allocation.
Just keep an eye on this posting for when our admin Gary comes along to issue you one.
Great introduction by the way and always good to hear a little about new members. Also a nod of appreciation to yourself regards the thanks for providing such a resource. We are a band of radio enthusiasts doing our very best voluntarily to ensure that such a resource exists to assist those pursuing the radio interest. We'd be nothing though without all the valuable members and their input.
Have fun when you get your radio installed, being mobile will be a boon for radio contact with operators being much further spread than they were 40 years ago!
All the best, Victor

Many thanks for the welcome. Yeah I am sure it's very different these days. Expectations low, hope high. Whatever happens I will at least enjoy listening to the skip when it's open even if I can't make a contact. I am on the road long hours so any contacts will be very welcome if and when I make them. You guys deserve the recognition, taking on anything voluntarily for the love of it is a honourable thing.
Looking forward to having a proper look around the forum when time allows at the weekend. 73s
