Hi glad I found the forum, just digging my gear out of a friends cellar, dry thank goodness, and awaiting an antenna to be delivered and thought it would be handy to have a call sign to use on 11M/cb for DX.
So ill be starting off with my old st9dx listening a bit nd then hopefully getting some contacts, not sure if i wil be blessed with a contact with my home land but you never know. then i hope to score some more gear over time and a better qth so I can get a better antenna up

Hi Mike,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
To be issued a call sign you will need to fill in your profile QTH to show the town/city you live in rather than a locator square. (Is that Prague?)
Once that's done keep a lookout on this posting for when our admin Gary who is responsible for call signs allocates you one.
Have to admit I drooled a bit at the mention of a Stalker IX FDX - Lovely radio!

Thanks for the info updated profile.
Had the radio for many years, aerly 2000s a neighbour spent hours setting it up as the guy i purchased it from late 80's had really messed it up, cores damaged etc, had it checked about 7 years ago and was still all ok and was recieving Greek and Italian sations on SSB plus some Russian ones on a mag mount on a window sill, ill have to use similar for a while as in a flat right now but planning to move next year to a place i can put a proper antenna up.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for updating and you look all set to go for allocation now.
Nice that someone has taken the time to give the old Stalker some TLC as well as keep her in use. We've had members here operate well even with apartment living and as we ramp up the solar cycle it should be easier for DX. I do however wish you well for the future, your move and obviously planned bigger antenna setup.
As mentioned, keep an eye out for Gary when he comes along to issue you a call sign. (Should be in the forthcoming day/s.)

Hello and welcome, Mike.
The Stalker is a great radio. I still use mine regularly, it is completely standard with the stealth front. Still one of the best receives on 11m ssb in my humble opinion.
