Have been out of the CB world for over 30 years, still remember some things but all this AM and SSB is new to me.
Just bought some bits and pieces to get me going again, am hoping the CRT SS6900n I got off eBay is working, should be here in a few days.

Welcome to CT. You will need to put your name in your profile and location (didn't look if you had put it in) if you want a call sign. A mod will be along soon and will allocate your call.

Hi Mark,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
There's many here that have come back to radio after a lengthy time away and always good to pick up the reigns again.
I hope that your return to the airwaves is a good one.
Your profile is all good for call sign allocation so when I'm on the next run of issuing them I'll get you sorted.
All the best, Victor

Thank you Victor, judging by your avatar would that be Von?

Von? Victor-Von-Doom ala Fantastic Four? Victor Frankenstein?
Ha, Ha! Sorry Mark, I'm not sure what you're referring to but I know Victor is a fairly uncommon name (unless you're in Hong Kong) so you might have mistaken me for someone else. (Or just making a quip?)
Not a problem though, I'm just plain old Victor from Scottish ancestry and the avatar is well......I'm tall, big and probably not as handsome as good old Fred Gwynne!

I was indeed making a quip, you will get used to my humour, or ban me when it starts to grate

Ah, Victor Von Frankenstein. (Rather than his 'monster'.)
It takes extreme measures before someone is ever banned from here and it's so easy to just be nice to each other.
Always appreciate some humour though Mark.
