Subject: SS9900 V4 Programming Software and Windows 11?? Tue Jan 24, 2023 5:11 pm
Having received my SS9900 V4 today complete with programming Cable I have spent 2 hours trying to get my Win11 Laptop to show the Comport in the programming Software.
After much googling I came across an old website where it says the programming software is not compatible with Win11. Is that still the case and if so I am guessing that's why it will not show anything in the Com Port settings?

I am running Win 11, had to go through some hoops with various drivers, you have to manually install the drivers then update Win 11. You need to find the Silicon Labs CP210x driver, I have a copy some where, will look it out.

SOLVED:
Initially I installed a Driver dated Feb 22 but it threw up a message in device manager saying ‘Win 11 not supported”. so I deleted that driver and searched out an earlier one for Windows 10 and it’s all working fine now.
I have downloaded and saved a copy of the 9900 settings as it came from the supplier. I can now mess with it to my hearts content in the knowledge I can upload the default settings whenever I want.
I have spent years messing with Anytone DMR radios so the software is fairly familiar.

Thank you so much for this info! I bought a 6900 yesterday with a cable but was told I couldn't use win 11 Pro Using the drivers linked here, I managed to install them and back up my radio, so they work on the SS 6900 too.
