Older Posts

Hi All

Just noticed I cannot see any of my old posts, not been on here for a while but it is saying i joined in June 2019, I believe it was a while before that when i joined the group, being number 329, one of the early ones lol.

I assume this is when the group changed from one server to another, I also assume all the old posts disappeared too ?

Shame as there was some good stuff on there.

I think this is a new site now.
Not 100% when it all changed but sure somebody will have the answer soon.

As you say it is a shame that we couldn't port across the posts from there and the administration guys did a fantastic job of getting as many of the call signs across (by hand!!) when this forum version started up back in the summer of 2019.

At least due to the exemplary voluntary time admin put in we do still exist and have many wonderful members keeping it all going with their activity and posts as well as new members proudly gaining new call signs.

I will always marvel with delight when I hear CT numbers called on air and read about members activity here.

Long may it be so.

Thanks for the link also, I was looking through my old posts and came across my old post about building a shack, 12 years since I posted it !!!

Surprised to see how many pictures are still in the thread, I thought they would have gone, brought back some good memories.

The admin team do a great job Ray (don't know about me though! ) but we'd be nothing without our valuable members.

Was great reading through your old thread.

I did a shack build thread last year.
You have just reminded me it's been on air 12 months this week.
And it is like a pigsty like the old one.
Time for a clear out and bin the junk i tend to keep lol.

I remember your shack build well Alan mate and thoroughly enjoyed reading about it.  


Recently there was the fear that I might have lost my shack altogether due to unforseen family events but luckily I have managed to retain it and making amends by trying to better organise it. (Easier said than done....I must have twice the amount of junk accumulated before starting all this radio malarkey!!  )

I might even feel compelled to post up more details as it progresses.

Would be great to see some of your setups whether big, small, spanking new, vintage, sheds, spare rooms and even (Hiya Neal - SangueG) bedside cabinets or 'cubby' holes.

PMR, CB, Ham or SWL setups it's all welcome here at CT.   

(Even portable setups, vehicle installations, field days and the-great-outdoors 'shacks' are all interesting!)


Or you could even show off that new 'twig'.....nothing better than a bit of antenna 'porn'.
