Hi I am 53 years of age . After using a cb radio back in the 80’s & 90’s , I thought that the mobile phone had made it irrelevant. However after digging my old totes 240 out of the garage , I thought that I’d power it up. I was surprised at how far my signal was travelling. On 29/03/2023 (2 days ago) I contacted someone in Gibraltar on UK FM band. That was the start of this quest.

Hi and welcome to Charlie Tango.
I've moved your requests for a call sign into this one section of the correct part of the forum to ensure that you can be allocated one.
We do have instructions on the home/front page of this site in red lettering on how to obtain a callsign and also a handy "Read First" instructions on the 'New Member' section which can be found at the following link :-
We will require a specific QTH being the town/city you live in or near (villages are fine also) as per the instructions so that we can issue you a call sign. Once that is done either myself or Gary (call sign Admins) will get you allocated.
All the best, Victor

I have just re entered the radio world and discovered that the frequencies are clear compared to the 90’s. Also technology has moved on therefore it’s a win win situation all around.
