Hi All
Maybe a silly question, could I run to radios from a CB Ham Amateur switcher aerial 2 way switch, rather than two aerials..
Thank you..
Cheers
Andy

Not a silly question Yes, many people do. If you have a cheapy switch box and have a multimeter handy, would be a good idea to do some continuity and isolation checks on it to check the switch mech is doing its job, but you should be ok.

As Neal says not a silly question. I have 3 radios and 3 aerials well 4 if you count the 2m/70cm. The 3x3 are through switches and i can run any radio on any aerial with the turn of a switch. Set myself up for a slagging here about the losses but i am happy with how i run. Good switches can be expensive but worth it to me saves me messing about. Edit Only have one radio turned on at a time saves damaging the front end of one.

Alan, people argue endlessly about differences between N types & PL259s so I wouldn't worry about apparent losses with your antenna switches.
Been looking at antenna switches myself recently (Teresa has strung up too many antennas for me in that loft now! ) but boy are most of them butt-fugly looking bits of kit, so I'll probably land up building my own.
They're simple bits of kit really as can be seen on the following homebrew example :-
It all only really becomes an issue when you start switching antennas for QRO or lots of power and then the exotic stuff starts coming out.
Andy, the only silly question is the one never asked so always worth firing away with those enquiries. (Plus there's a helpful bunch here at Charlie Tango.)

I run both my HF and VHF via switchs.
IC9700 to a four way Alphadelta, one port for each band plus a spare.
IC7300 to a Diamond 3way that switchs two HF ants plus log periodic.
Main thing is to get switchs with good isolation 50>60db should be ok.
