Hello from Ellesmere Port (Issued)

I will be using the username John W and thanks for letting me join your forum.
I have had a ham licence for over 10 years now but cannot use it because of a stroke that i had a few years ago. As my memory was affected i found difficult to remember Q codes and  other information. This led to me not enjoying the hobby as much.
I Then came across a few videos on youtube with you guys having all the fun talking to local people, that is what it is all about to me and not spending thousands on equipment to talk to someone in far away lands, although i did have a chat with a guy called the Stig in the arctic circle. lived alone in a hut with his two Huskies. he just had two foot of snow dumped on his roof..
Anyway I have ordered a superstar 3900 and expect it to be here early next week, then the fun and excitement starts as i learn all about my new hobby as a CB'er..
