Hi all, Thanks for letting me join. I was one of the original FM CBers in 1981, talking to all the cool kids around the Slough/Langley area, handle was JR. Didn’t last long though, I grew up and got into other things…
The last year I’ve been reading up about HF radios and HAM and all that, studied for a foundation license but then moved house and haven’t taken it yet, but will. Bought a yaesu ft-710 which I use to explore the bands, no broadcasting as yet. Now looking at CB and will be up and running with a new rig in a few days.
Based on south coast, new Milton area. Looking forward to talking to some of you.
Please may I have a call sign?
